YEP AUSTRIA: RESULTS FROM THE WORKING GROUPS

The Young Energy Professionals (YEP) program represents an interdisciplinary network of young executives from members and partners of WEC Austria and goes back to an initiative of the London WEC office.

Under the motto “How can utilities sustainably accelerate the energy transition?”, the 3rd cycle of the WEC Austria Young Energy Professionals program, which started in February 2021, has now come to an end.

On April 20, 2023, at the premises of VERBUND, our Young Energy Professionals (YEP)

the final results of the working groups “Digitalisation offensive in the energy industry”, “Innovation barriers in the energy industry” and “Business models beyond the one energy supply”).

The event was introduced by two key notes held by Dr. Franz Zöchbauer (VERBUND Ventures GmbH) and DI Theresia Vogel (former management of the Climate and Energy Fund).

In the subsequent panel discussion, YEP Andreas Fleischhacker (Wien Energie GmbH), YEP Philipp Marinitsch (Energie Steiermark AG), YEP David Schneiderbauer (accilium), YEP Martin Schönberg (VUM GmbH) and YEP Katharina Stiedl (VERBUND) discussed the topic of the event with DI Theresia Vogel. Thankfully, the panel was spontaneously moderated by our Senior Advisor Martin Heissenberger.
