UKRAINE WAR JEOPARDIZES ENERGY TRANSITION

Optimism that the global energy transition will succeed in time seems to have faded. This is shown by a survey of around 600 international energy experts conducted by the WEC in July 2022. In view of the war in Ukraine, the issues of security of supply and affordability of energy supply are instead coming to the fore. In Europe in particular, the issue of energy security is at the top of executives’ agendas.
