75TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON 17 NOVEMBER 2021
The Presidium Meeting, Executive Assembly as well as the 75th General Assembly of WEC Austria took place on November 17, 2021 as a digital event in virtual space.
The 75th General Assembly of November 17, 2021 approved the minutes of the 74th General Assembly of April 29, 2021 and the 2022 budget.
The expired mandates of the Presidium members GF Dipl.-Ing. Josef REISEL and GD Stv. Dipl.-Ing. Peter WEINELT were extended for another 3 years.
The expired mandates of the Executive Board members GF Dipl.-Ing. Gerhard FIDA, VD Dipl.-Ing. Mag. Martin GRAF, MBA, GF Mag. Robert GRÜNEIS, Ing. Kurt HOSINGER, VD Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Franz KAINERSDORFER, VD Dr. Peter F. KOLLMANN, Vize GS Ing. Mag. Peter KOREN, GF Mag. Gerhard MARTERBAUER, Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Nebojsa NAKICENOVIC, GF Mag. Dr. Stephan SHARMA, VD Elena SKVORTSOVA, MA, Dipl.-Ing. Elisabeth SPITZENBERGER, Dipl.-Ing. Mag. Michael STREBL, VV Mag. Stefan SZYSZKOWITZ and GF Mag. Stefan UHER were extended for another 3 years.
Michael MOCK resigned from the Board of Directors, and the Austrian Gas and Heating Association nominated Christina FÜRNKRANZ as her successor on the Board of Directors of the World Energy Council Austria, a position which was confirmed by the General Assembly.
Prof. Dr. Heinz STIGLER resigned from the Board. Prof. Sonja WOGRIN was nominated by the University Conference and the Graz University of Technology as his successor on the Board of the World Energy Council Austria and confirmed in this function by the General Assembly.
Following the General Assembly, State Secretary Dr. Magnus BRUNNER, LL.M. spoke on the topic of “Hydrogen as the key to the energy transition”. Marco BARONI (energy expert, consultant and lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Studies) then presented the study “Decarbonised hydrogen imports into the European Union: challenges and opportunities“.
