3RD COVID SURVEY ROUND OF THE WEC

Nothing has shaken the energy industry, the financial market, the global economy and society more than the Corna virus and lockdown series that began in mid-March 2020. A sharp drop in energy demand and oil and gas prices were the result.

In February 2021, as part of a 3rd round of surveys, WEC surveyed what the post-Covid energy world might now look like.

According to the survey results, it is expected that this crisis will lead to structural changes in society and the energy industry and bring about a “new normal.” In society, digitalization will accelerate, distributed and decentralized work systems and lifestyles with higher resilience will be implemented as common practice, and urbanization will slow down.
